Baby Locked For 1 Hour At Green Acres Parking Lot; Mother Charged: PD
Treisha Clarke faces a count of endangering the welfare of a child, police said.

VALLEY STREAM, NY — A Queens woman was arrested late Monday afternoon for leaving her baby unsupervised in her car.
Treisha Clarke, 41, was parked at the Green Acres Walmart when a witness noticed an infant inside the vehicle, police said.
The four-month-old was locked in the car and sitting in the rear seat.

Police had to use a kit to pry the door open and remove the toddler, detectives said.
Clarke went to her car and was arrested, approximately an hour after an announcement was made in the store, police said.

The child was placed in the custody of a family member.
Clarke was charged with endangering the welfare of a child. She was due to be arraigned on Tuesday, according to police.
