Car Crashes Into Bicyclist; Driver Faces Multiple Charges: Police
Shakyai Brownlow faces charges that include assault and reckless endangerment, police say.

VALLEY STREAM, NY — A man was arrested following a serious crash involving a bicyclist on Wednesday afternoon in Valley Stream.
While attempting to cross Mill Road at Roosevelt Avenue, a man was struck by a 2013 Gray Honda, police said.
The 14-year-old victim suffered multiple injuries and was taken to an area hospital by helicopter. He is listed in stable condition.

After hitting the victim, the vehicle struck a 2015 Honda Accord heading southbound on Mill Road.
An investigation led to Shakyai Brownlow, 24, of Valley Stream, being arrested without incident.

He faces charges that include second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, and leaving the scene of an incident. Brownlow was scheduled for arraignment on Thursday.
