Cedarhurst Motorcycle Crash Leaves Woman In The Hospital, Police Say

CEDARHURST, NY — A 49-year-old woman was hospitalized Monday afternoon after she crashed her Kawasaki motorcycle into a Nissan Altima on Rockaway Turnpike, police said.

Nassau County police said the 49-year-old woman was riding the bike at 3:35 p.m. in Cedarhurst when the bike collided with a 2024 Altima driven by a 20-year-old woman near the intersection of Rockaway Turnpike and Argyle Road. The 49-year-old woman was seriously injured in the crash, while the 20-year-old was uninjured and remained at the scene, police said.

Tuesday morning, police said an investigation into the crash was ongoing and did not announce any arrests or charges stemming from the incident.
