Town of Hempstead Senior Councilman Anthony J. Santino joined congregants of Young Israel of Lawrence-Cedarhurst for the synagogue's Golden Jubilee Dinner celebrating fifty years in the Five Towns. Formed in the early 1960s under the leadership of Rabbi Nuchim Kornmehl zt"l, the shul continues to grow and is still located on the corner of Spruce Street and Broadway in Cedarhurst.
The celebration was held at The Sands of Atlantic Beach.
Senior Councilman Anthony J. Santino also presented a Town Certificate of Recognition to Guests of Honor Elana and David Schwartz.
