Celebrating Youth Art Month at Lawrence Primary School

Lawrence Primary School art teacher arranged for the extension of the Lawrence student art display at the Long Island Children's Museum

LAWRENCE, NEW YORK (MARCH, 2022)—In celebration of March being Youth Art Month, Lawrence Primary School art teacher Anne Young arranged for the extension of the Lawrence student art display at the Community Gallery at the Long Island Children’s Museum through the end of the month. Youth Art Month is an annual observance each March to emphasize the value of art education for all children. It provides an opportunity to recognize the skills developed through visual art experiences including problem-solving, creativity, observation, and communication.

“I am always so proud to have our students’ artwork on display at the Long Island Children's Museum as a concrete example of their amazing imaginations come to life,” said Kristen Mcloughlin, Principal of Lawrence Primary School. “Ms. Young has a unique ability to draw out student talent through art display and push our students to new levels of creativity.”
The artwork of over 50 Lawrence student artists will be on display at the Long Island Children’s Museum in Garden City from March 1 to March 27.
