Chinese American Night at Eisenhower Park This Weekend

Eisenhower Park is hosting Nassau County’s Chinese American Night this weekend.

Celebrating the Year of the Horse, the event will bring the excitement of Chinese New Year with performances from H.T. Chen and Dance Company, Takala Land Hip Hop Dance Troupe, Shaolin Martial Arts, the New York Chinese Chorus, pianist Diyi Tang, The Cao Bao: A Chinese Traditional Orchestra, vocalists Arthur Lai and Wen Ling Cheng, and the CCLI Traditional Dance Company.

A preshow will kick off at 6 p.m. on the lawn near the theater with cultural arts and crafts, musicians playing traditional instruments, and the Chinese Shadow Puppet Theatre in English.

Tai Chi Master An Jian Liang will also present a free tai chi class to all who attend.

An honoree recognition is also planned for the preshow.

The main performances begin at 7 p.m. at the Lakeside Theatre.
