Chometz Disposal In Village of Cedarhurst
An unattended dumpster will be located at the Cedarhurst LIRR station on Wednesday, April 8th from 7:00 am until 12 noon.

Are you worried about the last-minute disposal of Chometz? The commissioners, superintendent and the hardworking employees of Sanitary District No. 1 are proud once again to provide enhanced collection service throughout the Five Towns on Erev Pesach.

Drop-off
An unattended dumpster will be located at the Cedarhurst LIRR station on Wednesday, April 8th from 7:00 am until 12 noon. Simply place your bags and boxes in the dumpster without congregating. We must maintain the necessary social distancing even when disposing of Chometz.

“All Day Pickup” (between 7:00 AM & 12 Noon)
Routine rear-door trash collections will take place as usual on April 8th.
Sanitary District 1 will provide curbside pickups from 7:00 am to noon, even if you had a regular rear-door trash pickup and find that you need to dispose of additional items. Simply place the unwanted item in sturdy, securely tied bags and place them at the curb. Do not use your regular garbage cans.

Phone-in requests will help make setting up your last-minute disposals a breeze. To phone-in a curb side pickup call (516) 239-5600 from 7:00 am – 12:00 Noon on Erev Pesach only.
