City Of Mobile: Cross Island Parkway Closure

Motorists are being encouraged to use the Van Wyck/Whitestone Expressway combination or the Meadowbrook Parkway as alternative.

October 19, 2021

We were recently informed by the Long Island Rail Road that on Saturday October 23rd from approximately 10pm until 8pm on Sunday October 24th the Cross Island Parkway will be closed in both directions for the installation of steel girders over the roadway as part of the Elmont Station construction project. Motorists are being encouraged to use the Van Wyck/Whitestone Expressway combination or the Meadowbrook Parkway as alternatives to keep additional traffic on local streets to a minimum.
