VALLEY STREAM, NY — School officials are seeking feedback from the community as they begin the search for their next superintendent.

Dr. Nicholas Stirling announced his retirement from the Valley Stream District 30 Board of Education, effective on June 30.

As part of the search for a new educator, the board wants the public to highlight the qualities and skills that are most important in a superintendent.

The survey can be accessed in English and Spanish via the district website: www.valleystream30.com.

The deadline to complete the survey is Feb. 1. While answers are anonymous, grouped responses will be made public.
