Cops: Burglar Removes Air Conditioner, Steals Elderly Woman's Jewelry
Woman was on vacation when a burglar broke in, cops said.

A burglar broke into an elderly woman’s home by removing an air conditioner, according to Nassau County Police.
Detectives said an 82-year-old woman returned to her Wanser Avenue home from a vacation Friday and found an air conditioning unit removed from a bedroom window. The victim found the air conditioner on a couch and discovered several Seiko watches and other jewelry missing, cops said.
