Cops Release Sketch of Green Acres Watch Thief
Police continuing search for man who stole diamond and gold watch in August.

Nassau County Police released a sketch of a man they said stole a gold and diamond Rolex watch at Green Acres Mall.
Cops said the man pretended to be a customer at New Era Jewelry Center and asked an employee if he could see a yellow gold Rolex with diamonds on the dial.
When the clerk took the watch out, the subject slid his hand through the band and fled the store, police said.

The incident happened Aug. 22 at 4:40 p.m.

The subject is described as a black male, dark complexion, dark eyes, between 25 and 28 years old, 5-foot-7, thin build, and was wearing a backwards baseball cap.
As they continue their search, police are asking anyone with information to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
