Nassau Police ID Man Killed In Woodmere Crash

Police say that the driver of a large utility truck lost control and struck a tree, injuring himself and killing his passenger.

UPDATE, NOV. 20: Nassau Police have identified the man who was killed in the crash as Keith Bailey, 47, of Queens Village.

UPDATE, 4:30 P.M.: Police say that one person is dead and another is in serious condition after a crash in Woodmere this morning.

According to police, a man was driving a 1995 Mitsubishi utility truck south on Peninsula Boulevard at 12:48 p.m. when he lost control and drove into a tree.

The driver was taken by helicopter to a hospital for treatment. He is still in serious condition. The passenger, a 47-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

ORIGINAL STORY: A crash has closed all lanes of Peninsula Boulevard in Woodmere, Nassau County Police say.
