CURRAN HONORS LOCAL VALLEY STREAM STUDENTS AT NASSAU COUNTY JCRC HOLOCAUST REMEMBRANCE DAY COMMEMORATION

Assemblyman Brian Curran (Lynbrook-21st A.D.) recently honored local Valley Stream students at the Nassau County Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) Holocaust Remembrance Day (Yom HaShoah) Commemoration at Hofstra University. Students were honored for making a difference in the community and for creating a more civil society by volunteering, building ties across different communities, or working on intergenerational projects. This year, JCRC honored Holocaust survivor Ethel Katz, and Curran presented official New York State Assembly Citations to the student nominees.
