Drunken Driver Arrested With Gun In His Car: Nassau Police
Police say the man, who is from Philadelphia, was found to have the gun in his car after being stopped at a sobriety checkpoint.

A Philadelphia man was arrested on Saturday night after he was stopped at a sobriety checkpoint and was found to have a loaded handgun in his car, police said.
Annoman Singh, 28, of North Marvine Street in Philadelphia was stopped at a sobriety checkpoint just after 10 p.m. on Saturday as part of the Nassau County Police Department's "Saturation Saturday." Police say that Singh had glassy, bloodshot eyes and strongly smelled of alcohol. After an investigation, police placed him under arrest.
Police say that further investigation found a loaded handgun in Singh's car.

Singh is charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and two counts of driving while intoxicated. He was arraigned on Sunday in First District Court in Hempstead.
