Electric Scooter Driver Hit, Injured By Jeep In Nassau: Police
The man was thrown from the scooter and suffered multiple injuries to his head and body, according to Nassau County police.
WOODMERE, NY — A 45-year-old man was hospitalized this weekend after the electric scooter he was driving was struck by a Jeep in Woodmere, according to Nassau County police.
In a news release, authorities said the man on the scooter was driving southbound on Peninsula Boulevard on Friday when he was hit by the driver of a northbound Jeep making a left turn onto Saddle Ridge Road.
Police said the driver of the scooter was thrown from the vehicle and sustained multiple injuries to his head and body. He was taken to the hospital where he is in stable condition, according to authorities.

The crash happened shortly before 4:10 p.m.
The 41-year-old driver of the Jeep remained on scene and was not injured, police said.
