Elmont Memorial High School Varsity Basketball Team Earns National Championship

ELMONT, NY - The Elmont Memorial High School boys varsity basketball team recently won a national championship in Glen Falls.

Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano congratulated the team and head coach George Holub for winning the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Class A final at the Glens Falls Civic Center on Sunday, March 13.

The team visited the Theodore Roosevelt Executive and Legislative Building in Mineola to commemorate their win and be recognized for their success.

“It takes tremendous dedication, commitment and hard work from your teammates and coaches to become County, Long Island and Statewide Champions!” Mangano said. “Nassau County is truly proud to serve as home to the Long Island Class A and New York State Champs!”
