ELMONT, NY — McGregory Frederique, born in Haiti, moved to Elmont when he was in high school.

The 35-year-old hopes to take Hollywood by storm with his new film and TV pilot.

After working on a script last year for "The Interrogation," he recycled and reworked it into a short film "The Deal."

"Sharon Wilson is involved with this con artist. They go around ripping off people for free money," Frederique told Patch.

Ultimately, she finds the guy cheating on her and that sends the female character to the police where she cuts a deal.

With "The Deal" looking at the criminal side, his other project is called "C.A.S.E.S," focusing on the legal angle. Having worked in a Garden City law firm, Frederique would like to transfer that experience to the screen.

He plans to film "The Deal" in the next few months in Los Angeles, using any buzz from that to land a "deal" for "C.A.S.E.S."

However, it's never too premature for bold predictions.

"I already know "C.A.S.E.S" is going to be an Emmy- winning show," he said. "I already see it."

In 2020, Frederique appeared in a short film "The Neighbors' Window" that won an Academy Award.

He expects "The Deal" will get entered in film festivals.

"HBO or Hulu, or whoever, when they see this, they're going to say 'You have to put this on our platform immediately.' The same thing with "C.A.S.E.S." [They'll say], 'We have to have this show on air."

With plenty on Frederique's plate, he recently completed directing his first short film, "R.E.G.R.E.T."
