Entire Nassau School Receives Designer Backpacks

Sen. Todd Kaminsky partnered with STATE to bring the backpacks to all the students at one Valley Stream elementary school.

This week, Senator Todd Kaminsky partnered with STATE Bags to donate more than 350 designer bags to every student at the Howell Road Elementary School in Valley Stream. The 60 minute, interactive, high energy bag drop event focused on teaching the children about self esteem and leadership and was led by the STATE PackMen/Women and DJ, concluding with each student receiving a fully-stocked STATE backpack, hand-delivered by Kaminsky.

“I am inspired by the tremendous work and generosity of STATE Bags, and am so thankful that they took the time to speak to our students about the impact they can have when they decide to pursue their dreams,” said Kaminsky. “I hope that the students walked away from the rally knowing that they can do whatever they put their minds to, and that the backpack they received will serve them well in their journey to success.”

“STATE Bags was built on the commitment of serving communities who could use some extra support, and is continually fueled by incredible partners like Senator Kaminsky who strive to level the playing field for so many. We're honored to once again work with him and the kids of Valley Stream to prepare them for the school year and beyond,” said Scot Tatelman, Co-Founder, STATE Bags.
