Award Winning comedy writer Alan Zweibel will be returning to the Five Towns, where he grew up and honed his sense of humor, wit, and warmth.
Alan, one of our country’s best beloved humorists, who the N.Y. Times says “has earned a place in the pantheon of American pop culture” will be performing Saturday evening, March 31, 2012 at 8:30 PM at Congregation Sons of Israel, 111 Irving Place, Woodmere, N.Y.
One of the original writers of Saturday Night Live, he has won three Emmy Awards for his work in television, which includes, “It’s Garry Shandling’s Show”, “Monk”, and “Curb Your Enthusiasm”. Additionally, Alan collaborated with Billy Crystal on the Tony winning Broadway show, “700 Sundays” and is currently working on its film version. Several of Alan’s highly acclaimed books (“Bunny Bunny”, his Thurber Prize winning novel “The Other Shulman”, and the popular children’s book “Our Tree Named Steve”) as well as his latest release, “Lunatics”, which he co-authored with Dave Barry, will be available for purchase that evening.
