Piano Recital, Vocals & Lecture
2010 marks the bicentennial of the birth of Franz Liszt, composer, virtuoso pianist, womanizer, and 19th century ‘jet setter’, who wound up as a Catholic abbot. To commemorate this anniversary, Allison Deane, Janet Steele and Ruth Spencer, faculty members of the Music Department at City College, will present a program of piano music and vocals, interspersed with a talk about his life, readings from his writings and a slide lecture showing his residences.
Join us as we commemorate this creative genius.
