Florida Men Arrested After Firing Shots At Vehicle, Police Say
A pair of Florida men are in police custody Thursday after they fired guns at a vehicle in Elmont Saturday night, police say.
ELMONT, NY — A pair of Florida men are in police custody after firing handguns at a vehicle in Elmont Saturday night, police said.
Nassau County police said 18-year-old West Palm Beach residents Jordan Johnson and Audubree Steele were arrested Wednesday after police officers received reports of shots being fired on Locustwood Boulevard in Elmont at 7:53 p.m. Saturday. Upon arrival and investigation, police said they determined that two men had fired at the vehicle and then fled.
On Wednesday, police said, NCPD located Johnson and Steele in Elmont and arrested them. At the time of arrest, police said, Steele had a Smith & Wesson handgun on him. No injuries were reported at the scene of the incident, police said.

Johnson is now charged with two second-degree counts of criminal possession of a weapon, one first-degree count of reckless endangerment and a first-degree count of attempted assault, police said. Steele faces four second-degree counts of criminal possession of a weapon, one first-degree count of reckless endangerment and a first-degree count of attempted assault, police said.
Both men are scheduled to be arraigned Thursday, according to police.
