The sun was shining on Monday, May 27, 2013, as the newly renovated Shores at Atlantic Beach opened for business for the Memorial Day weekend. Mayor Mahler and Assemblyman Weisenberg were on hand with new owners, Moshe and Randi Bezalel and Howard and Dana Taub for the ribbon cutting ceremony at the brand new and restored beach club. The beautifully built and fully operational club is a testament to the fact that, despite the odds, the Shores and the oceanfront community which it serves, are back and better than ever after Superstorm Sandy.
