Group Of Men Threatened To Steal Car In Valley Stream: Police
Seven people are wanted in connection with the attempted robbery, police say.
VALLEY STREAM, NY — Seven people are wanted for attempted robbery after Nassau police said they threatened to steal a man's car in Valley Stream on Sunday afternoon.
A man, 32, was sitting in his parked 2023 Range Rover with the driver’s door open on Central Court around 3:55 p.m., police said. He was on his cellphone when he was approached by five men who said they were going to take his car, police said.
One of the men grabbed the driver and the other four began rummaging through the Range Rover, police said. As the man and group began to fight, all five men stopped and ran northbound toward Seaton Gate, police said.

The five men and one additional person entered a dark-colored older model Toyota Camry that was waiting for them with a driver, and seven people drove off together eastbound on Seaton Gate, police said.
No one was injured, and nothing was stolen, police said.
