Gun Found As Car Goes Through 5 Towns Car Wash: Police

NORTH LAWRENCE, NY — An Inwood man was taken into custody on Sunday afternoon for having a handgun in his vehicle, police said.

Brandon Millington, 24, was arrested and charged with three counts of criminal possession of a weapon and one count of criminal possession of a firearm, detectives said.

Officers responded to Five Towns Car Wash in North Lawrence for a person in possession of a handgun.

During the investigation, police recovered a loaded Springfield XD .40 caliber gun in between the driver's seat and the center console, detectives said.

Millington is due to be arraigned on Monday.
