Hewlett Home Burglarized While Owner Was on Vacation
The owner discovered that a burglar entered his home through a basement window while he was gone last week, police say.

HEWLETT, NY - A Hewlett home was burglarized while the owner was out on vacation, according to Nassau Police.
The 46-year-old homeowner went on vacation between Sunday, April 24 and Sunday, May 1.
After returning to his Newport Drive home on Sunday, the man discovered that someone had entered his home through a basement window and took two watches and an undetermined amount of cash.

The burglar than exited the house through a rear sliding door, police said.
Detectives request anyone with information regarding this crime to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
