Science Project Causes Hewlett High School Evacuation
Police are investigating, but say there is no explosive on the campus.

UPDATE, 2:45 P.M.: According to police, there was no bomb found at Hewlett High School, but a science project.
Police say they received a call at 12:35 p.m. for a suspicious device that was left in a common area. Officers arrived and found a pressure cooker in a backpack. However, the NCPD says that it was a leftover science project from a previous day, and not an explosive device.
As a precaution while the investigation was going on, students were evacuated from the school and to the field in the back of the building.
