Hundreds of people came to Chabad of Hewlett for an emergency meeting to declare that Hewlett Stands with Israel. The meeting this past Monday, October 9, 2023, was a call for urgent action in a show of solidarity and prayers for the people of Israel who suffered overwhelming losses. It's being reported that more than 1,200 Jews have been slaughtered in the recent Hamas attacks.
Rabbi Tenenboim, the Hewlett community's religious leader, said, "We have to spread the word that Hamas is like the Nazis and what they are doing is like the Holocaust. It's not a terror attack, it's a genocide. They are worse than ISIS."
A representative from Hewlett United for Israel explained, that we must contact our representatives and encourage them to emphasize that Hamas is ISIS.
