NORTH LAWRENCE, NY — A homeless man was arrested Tuesday morning for a burglary in North Lawrence.

Aubree Thompson, 35, was spotted in an Amazon warehouse on Rockaway Boulevard, holding a black knife, police said.

A 28-year-old female security guard told the man that he was allowed in the building, but he ran further into the facility, police said.

Thompson was located by police in the second-floor parking garage. After a brief foot chase, he was placed into custody, authorities said.

No one was injured.

Thompson is charged with third-degree burglary, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree obstructing governmental administration. He is expected to face arraignment on Wednesday.
