Lawrence High School Hosts Annual Culture Fest

In celebration of Diversity and Inclusion, Lawrence High School Host Their Annual Culture Fest

LAWRENCE, NEW YORK (APRIL, 2022)—Recently, the Lawrence High School National Honor Society hosted its Annual Culture Fest at the Lawrence High School Café to celebrate the rich diversity at the school.

“Our annual Multicultural Week offers important opportunities to commemorate and honor the diversity of our Lawrence High School family,” said Dr. Lagnado-Papp, Principal of Lawrence High School. “It was inspiring to see our students, staff, and community members come together to celebrate and embrace the richness of that diversity and the many different cultures. ethnicities, and heritages we all represent.”

The high school café was decorated with flags from all over the world and there were tables filled with food from all over the world. Everyone was able to enjoy eggrolls, fried rice, arroz con pollo (rice with chicken), empanadas, dumplings and so much more. Sharing food and trying different types of cuisine is one of the important ways to appreciate different cultures. Those in attendance were also able to take pictures with a backdrop that was decorated with flags to remember this day.
