Lawrence Man Pleads Not Guilty To Attempted Murder After Crossbow Shooting: Police

The man pleaded not guilty to all charges Sunday, court documents show.

LAWRENCE, NY. — A Lawrence man was arrested and charged with attempted murder after he shot an arrow at a woman’s face with a crossbow Friday night, police said.

Nassau County police announced Saturday that 21-year-old Samy Sedhom had been arrested and charged, saying that a 28-year-old woman had been found bleeding from a laceration on the right side of her face when police responded to the Lawrence residence Friday night.

Police said the woman was in stable condition Saturday and that Sedhom was arrested without incident. Police said Sedhom was charged with second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, tampering with physical evidence and first-degree stalking.

Nassau District Court documents show Sedhom pleaded not guilty to all charges Sunday and is due back in court Wednesday. He’s being represented by the Legal Aid Society of Nassau County, court documents say.
