Lawrence Middle School recently held its spring concert featuring its eighth-grade orchestra, band, and chorus
LAWRENCE, NEW YORK (MAY 2022) —Lawrence Middle School recently held its spring concert featuring its eighth-grade orchestra, band, and chorus, under the direction of Pam Gallopini, Prateek Thakur, and Susan Rogan.
“The concert was beautiful in every way possible. It was great to see and hear our students' hard work and dedication and to see how appreciative the audiences were of the professionalism and skill of our students,” said Lawrence Middle School Principal Mr. Willis Perry. “It is an amazing experience to see our students exude confidence while their proud families were in attendance. Great work everyone!”
The orchestra played Joust and Time Machine by Richard Meyer, and Antagonist by Larry Clark. The band played Divergence by Robert W. Smith, We, The People by James Swearingen, and The Avengers composed by Alan Silvestri and arranged by Robert Longfield. The chorus sang Under the Greenwood Tree by Ruth Morris Gray, The Bones by Marin Morris, Jimmy Robbins, Laura Veltz and arranged by Mark Brymer, and finished with tributes to Queen by singing Another One Bites the Dust, We Are the Champions and Bohemian Rhapsody.
