Letter to the Editor: I Will Continue to Earn Your Support

This letter was written by Seventh District Nassau Legislator Howard Kopel.

To the Editor:

I wanted to express my sincere thanks and gratitude to the working families and seniors of the seventh legislative district. Their overwhelming support at the polls for my re-election speaks volumes. Since taking office last year, I've worked hard to keep my promises and deliver for residents of our community.

For those who voted for me, and even those who didn't, you have my word that I will continue not only fulfilling campaign pledges and making Nassau County more affordable, but I'm wholeheartedly committed to bringing visible and positive results to our area and Nassau.

Although I remain deeply humbled by last Tuesday's results, my work is not done; homeowners and families still hurt, and this is no time to celebrate. Throughout my second term, I will continue fighting to keep our taxes low, improve our quality of life, keep our roadways and infrastructure in good repair, and continue to strengthen Nassau County’s fiscal health while also reforming the broken property assessment system.

Above all, you can be assured that I will dedicate every day of my second term to continue earning your support and the vote you so generously gave me last Tuesday. Thank you again.
