LI Businesswoman Marks Delayed Opening Of Venue Rental Space
Sandra Clarke has been running Celebs & Stars in Valley Stream for nearly a decade.

VALLEY STREAM, NY — With a new event space, Sandra Clarke recently held a ribbon cutting for Celebs & Stars in Valley Stream.
The unveiling was delayed by three years due to the pandemic.
But Clarke is no stranger to the live venue industry or Valley Stream. Her original location opened nine years ago with a focus on hosting children's parties.

While Clarke is the owner, she refers to herself as the manager.
"I'm a low-key person. I like people to see me working as a staff [member]," she said.

Her 4,000-square-foot rental space at 175 East Merrick Road is "now more adult" for weddings, and the like, "so I'm trying to make myself more out there," Clarke told Patch.
Clarke can bring the experience to the venue of your choice at an extra charge. But for customers who are most concerned about finding a hall, Clarke has you covered.
There are various add-ons, including decorated tablecloths and runners. Clarke also works closely with outside vendors to recommend all of the accouterments, such as a disc jockey and a photographer, making it a one-stop shop for the event.
She's also giving back to the community, starting with a free comedy show on April 27 for seniors.
"In the nursing room, they don't have anywhere to go," she said. "Somebody could take them in the wheelchair."
Clarke has plans to give back to artistic children as part of her charity work. Beyond that, Valley Stream is important to her, despite living across the county line in Rosedale. She recently donated $150 to the high school to ensure students can hold their Senior Prom.
With nearly a decade in this field, Clarke and her clients know she is a people person and she has many returning to use her services.
"Most of my recommendations are from my customers," Clarke said.
