LI Man Charged With Intent To Distribute Child Porn In Texas: Police

He will be extradited to Texas to face charges, police say.

NORTH WOODMERE, NY — A North Woodmere man was arrested in connection with possession and the intent to distribute child pornography, Nassau police said Tuesday.

Steven Weinman, 60, was arrested without incident at his home at 5:45 a.m. Tuesday, police said. He was charged with five counts of possession with the intent to distribute child pornography in the state of Texas, police said.

A comprehensive investigation was conducted with the help of the NY-NJ-US Marshals Fugitive Task Force, detectives said. The investigation is ongoing.

Weinman is set to be arraigned on Tuesday at First District Court, at 99 Main St, Hempstead.
He will be extradited to Texas to face charges.

"Detectives request if anyone feels they may have been a victim of the defendant to please contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS or call 911," the department wrote. "All callers will remain anonymous."
