LI Woman Claims Neighbor Throwing Feces, Dead Squirrels Into Yard
A Valley Stream woman said she has been the target of threats and racial harassment in her neighborhood.
VALLEY STREAM, NY — A Nassau County woman said she has been the subject of continuous harassment from her neighbors because of her race.
According to ABC7, Jennifer McLeggan, a nurse and single mother who lives in Valley Stream, said one of her neighbors has been throwing dog feces and dead squirrels in her yard. McLeggan said she installed a camera at her home to see who was doing it and saw her neighbor.
Nassau County Executive Laura Curran said that the police department is investigating the allegations.

"Nassau County will not tolerate any resident being harassed or intimidated because of who they are or what they look like," she said in a statement. "We take these allegations seriously, and Nassau County Police Department is conducting a thorough investigation into the matter."
