Loaded Gun, Fake Documents Recovered From Home: Police

Two men, arrested on multiple charges, were facing arraignment on Thursday, police say.

ELMONT, NY — Two men were arrested on Wednesday evening after a gun was recovered at a residence in Elmont.

Daniel Depeine, 24, of Florida, and Marvens Chery, 23, of Elmont, were taken into custody after the Nassau County Probation Department found a loaded Glock handgun, police said.

Probation officers also discovered a fraudulent Texas driver's license, a fraudulent U.S. passport and a fraudulent credit card, detectives said.

Chery faces multiple charges including criminal possession of a firearm and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Both men were expected to be arraigned on Thursday, according to Nassau police.
