Long Island Native Zack Ryder Wins WWE Intercontinental Title
The event on Sunday night was the most-attended WrestleMania event in WWE history.

ARLINGTON, TEXAS - Long Beach resident Zack Ryder will be coming home a champion.
The Long Island native won his first WWE Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania 32, which took place on Sunday night.
Over 100,000 fans at the most-attended WrestleMania event in WWE history, watched as Ryder defeated incumbent champ Kevin Owens and fellow challengers Dolph Ziggler, The Miz, Sin Cara, Stardust and Sami Zayn in the opening match.

"Nobody can take this moment away from me...especially not @mikethemiz," Ryder wrote on Twitter following his win.
Ryder started off as a YouTube star filming videos for his channel, "Z! True Long Island Story” in February 2011, which quickly became a sensation.

"Before long, WWE fans began spiking their hair and fist pumping while chants of 'Woo! Woo! Woo!' echoed from the rafters," his bio on the WWE website reads. "Inspired by his overwhelming social media success, Zack introduced the “Internet Championship” on his web show and soon found himself being endorsed by the likes of John Cena."
This led to Ryder eventually achieved his goal after earning the United States Championship in 2011 by defeating Dolph Ziggler.
Over the years he experiment with different looks and teamed up with Mojo Rawley to become the Hype Bros down in NXT and snatching the Intercontinental Title in a thrilling Ladder Match at WrestleMania.
"Ryder remains the definition of a 21st century Superstar," his profile reads. "He created his own opportunity and fanned the flames of popular opinion all on his own. And he’s intent on regaining a spot atop the WWE ladder and nothing’s going to knock him off track."
