Throughout the week at LWA students gathered to learn about the history of Thanksgiving, and share their good fortune with others. Activities included the Preschool Song Festival, the 1st and 2nd Grade Thanksgiving Feast (complete with Pilgrim and Native American costumes), and a Middle School-run Thanksgiving food drive to help the patrons of the Long Beach Food & Friendship INN. The middle School also spent part of the afternoon creating place mats with inspirational messages and small candy favors for the INN to set out for their Thanksgiving guests. Upper School students donated to hunger related charities.
