Man Accused Of Lewd Behavior In Front Of Young Neighbor: Police

VALLEY STREAM, NY — A Valley Stream was taken into custody for public lewdness, police said.

Paul Cotugno, 33, was seen by a neighbor's driveway during the overnight hours on Thursday, causing a 15-year-old victim to run into her house screaming, according to police.

She and another victim, a 63-year-old man, went back outside, moments later to approach Cotugno, who was seen under a vehicle, detectives said.

The victims noticed the man with his pants down and holding his genitals, according to Nassau police.

They controlled Cotugno until police arrived and he was placed under arrest.

He was charged with public lewdness, endangering the welfare of a child and trepass. He was scheduled for arraignment on Thursday in Hempstead.
