Man Arrested After Jumping From Roof Of Home He Burgled: Police
Police say the man tried to flee, but was quickly caught by officers.

A Manhattan man was arrested on Tuesday after police say he jumped off the roof of a Woodmere home he was burglarizing in an attempt to flee officers.
According to police, officers were investigating a call of a suspicious person on the roof of a home on Howard Avenue around 10 p.m. When police arrived, they saw a man jump from the roof and run through nearby yards.
After a short chase, police caught and arrested Peter Lee, 61, of Jane Street, Manhattan. Police say an investigation determined that Lee had broken into the home through a window.

Lee was charged with second-degree burglary and was arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Wednesday.
