Man Attempts to Rob Valley Stream Bank
The man gave a teller a note demanding cash, police say.

VALLEY STREAM, NY - A man attempted to rob a Valley Stream bank on Tuesday afternoon, according to Nassau County Police.
A man in his mid-20s, about 5-foot-6-to 5-foot-8 with a thin build, wearing a black mask, black jacket and black pants entered the Chase Bank on 235 Rockaway Avenue at about 4:34 p.m. and presented a note demanding cash from a teller, police said.
When the teller failed to comply, the man fled on foot west on W. Hawthorne Avenue, police said.

There were five employees and no customers in the bank at the time of the incident. No injuries were reported.
Detectives ask anyone with information about this crime to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
