Man Breaks Into Inwood Home: Police

An officer tased the man, who was running away after the break-in, police say.

INWOOD, NY — A man was charged with burglary after Nassau police said he broke into a home in Inwood on Wednesday.

Officers were called to a home on Wahl Avenue for a burglary in process around 4:35 a.m., police said. Wilber Quinteros Sigaran, 21, of Inwood, was running away from the home when officers arrived, police said.

An officer tased Sigaran and arrested him, police said.

Sigaran was charged with first-degree burglary and second-degree assault. His arraignment was scheduled for Thursday at First District Court, at 99 Main St., Hempstead.
