Man Dragged By Car While Trying To Stop Robber
Police say the thief stole a man's phone when the two met up to sell it.
Nassau police are searching for a man who robbed another during an arranged sale in Valley Stream on Wednesday afternoon.
According to police, a 38-year-old man had been talking to another man interested in buying his phone, and they agreed to meet near Ormonde Boulevard in Valley Stream at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday to make the sale.
Police say the thief asked to look at the phone before paying for it, and the man agreed. When he had the phone, the thief then tried to get back into his car and drive off. The man grabbed onto the steering wheel and was dragged for several feet before letting go.

The man left driving north on Ormond Boulevard. No one was injured.
The thief is described as a black man, 20 to 25 years old, 5 feet, 11 inches tall with a slight build and a trimmed beard, last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt. He was driving a blue-green 5 Series BMW.
