CEDARHURST, NY — An Inwood man was taken into custody for criminal possession of a weapon.

It happened just before 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday in Cedarhurst, when officers on patrol spotted two men having a loud argument at Westminster Road and Rockaway Turnpike.

As one man attempted to leave, police activated their emergency lights and conducted a vehicle stop, detectives said.

Officers noticed one man reaching toward the back seat and glove compartment. An investigation revealed there was a firearm in the glove compartment, police said.

Caleek Killingbeck, 21, was placed in custody without incident, detectives said.

He was also charged with disorderly conduct and was scheduled for arraignment on Wednesday, according to police.
