Man Robbed Of Car In Nassau At Gunpoint: Police
Four men robbed the 61-year-old man of his car, with one displaying a gun while a second smashed his phone on the ground, police say.
ELMONT, NY — Four men robbed a man in Elmont on Monday night, Nassau police said.
A man 61, was entering his 2003 Toyota Camry on Elmont Road near Belmont Avenue around 11 p.m. when he was approached by four men he did not know, police said.
One man displayed a handgun and told the man to get out of his car, police said. The man got out, police said. A second robber took the man's cell phone and smashed it on the ground, police said. All men then entered the Toyota and drove away northbound on Elmont Road, police said.

The man who displayed the handgun and the man who broke the cell phone were both described as black, approximately 20 to 25 years old, with a thin build wearing white hooded jackets, police said. The two other men were described as black and 20 to 25 years old, police said.
Detectives asked anyone with information on the robbery to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS or call 911. All callers will remain anonymous.
