Man Surrenders To Detectives For Christmas Morning Burglary: PD

CEDARHURST, NY — A man has been arrested for a Christmas Day burglary in Cedarhurst.

Marquis Silvers, 20, of Queens, is accused of illegally entering a home on Oakwood Avenue and threatening a 20-year-old male resident, who confronted him, detectives said.

When the victim called the police, Silvers fled.

No one was injured.

An investigation led police to identify Silvers, who surrendered to detectives on Feb. 8, Nassau police said.

Silvers, who is charged with second-degree burglary and third-degree menacing, was due in court for arraignment on Wednesday.
