Man Takes Out Shotgun During Argument In Valley Stream Home: Police
An investigation showed Tayarik Perez-Vargas had two illegal AR-15 and four handguns in the home, detectives said.

VALLEY STREAM, NY — An argument at a home in Valley Stream escalated when a weapon was displayed.
Tayarik Perez-Vargas was arrested at 10:45 p.m. on Sunday, detectives said.
As the arguing ensued, Perez-Vargas, 42, grabbed a 12-gauge shotgun, placing the 44-year-old victim in fear, according to police.

He was placed in custody without incident.
An investigation revealed an illegal 9mm ghost gun and two 10-round magazines were recovered. Police also recovered two illegal AR-15 assault rifles and a WW-15 assault rifle, detectives said.

Four legal firearms were also removed from the premises, police said.
Perez-Vargas, who was due to be arraigned on Monday, faces charges that include two counts of criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree menacing.
