Man Wearing Fanny Pack Robs Another At Gunpoint: Nassau Police

Police say the man was carrying a gun around in his fanny back before the robbery.

A man carrying around a gun in a fanny pack robbed another man early Sunday morning in Inwood, Nassau police said.

According to police, a man was working on his car on Doughty Boulevard at 5:35 a.m. Sunday when he was approached from behind by another man. As the victim turned to face him, the man pulled a black handgun out of a fanny pack and pointed it at the victim. The robber demanded everything in the victim's pockets, and then fled the scene.

The robber was a black man, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall and 130 pounds, wearing blue jeans, a green shirt and a black fanny pack around his waist. The victim was not injured.
