Masked Man Robs Nassau Store at Gunpoint

A masked man robbed a store at gunpoint in Hewlett Wednesday night.

According to detectives, a man wearing a helmet with a mask, sunglasses, and black, white and yellow gloves entered The Barn, located at 1577 Broadway in Hewlett, at 9:40 p.m. armed with a handgun. He lifted his sweatshirt, exposing the gun to the employee and gave the robber cash from the register.

The robber fled on a black and white motorcycle on Peninsula Boulevard towards Woodmere.
