Men 'Violently Resist Arrest' After Valley Stream Dine and Dash: Police
The two men who were eating at a restaurant with a 5-year-old child, left after trying to pay with fake credit cards, police say.

VALLEY STREAM, NY - Two Brooklyn men were arrested after fighting with police officers who were arresting them for leaving a restaurant without paying in Valley Stream on Thursday night, according to Nassau Police.
Isiah Peters, 18, and Leon E. Thomas, 19, entered the Applebee’s on 1126 Green Acres Road with a 5-year-old family member at 7:50 p.m., police said.
They ordered and ate a total of $50 worth of food, police said.

After trying to pay the bill with credit cards that were declined, they left the restaurant without paying before returning at 9:44 p.m., police said.
Police were notified and responded to place the two under arrest for theft of services when the duo began to violently resist arrest by fighting with officers, police said.

During the struggle, an officer sprained his right thumb and was transported to the hospital for treatment of his injury, police said.
While in the precinct, Peters again violently struggled with officers as they attempted to secure him in the holding cell, police said.
Upon search incident to arrest both men had in their possession forged credit cards, police said. The child that was with them was released to a family member.
Thomas is charged with possession of a forged Instrument, theft of services, endangering the welfare of a minor and resisting arrest, police said.
Peters is charged with second degree assault, six counts of possession of a forged Instrument, theft of services, endangering the welfare of a minor and resisting arrest, police said.
